Kraftsman collaborated with the City of Temple to remove the existing playground and design and install a new Firehouse-themed play structure with integrated shade for children ages 5 to 12. The play area also includes a shaded 3-bay swing set, featuring a “see me” swing, a face-to-face style swing designed to encourage interactive play between parents and children. The playground is equipped with engineered wood fiber surfacing for safety and comfort.

The Firehouse theme enhances the play experience by sparking imagination and creative play, allowing children to engage in role-playing as they explore the firehouse structure. Themed play structures like this help foster cognitive development, social interaction, and problem-solving skills while keeping children actively engaged. The integrated shade not only offers protection from the sun, making the playground more comfortable for year-round use, but also helps preserve the play equipment. This combination of imaginative play and functional design ensures a safe, interactive, and enjoyable environment for children to explore and learn.
