Teaming up with the City of Nederland to bring Doornbos Inclusive Park to life was a highlight for many of our Krew. Our mission was clear: create a playground where every child, no matter their ability, can join in on the fun and feel included. And that’s exactly what we did. With a thoughtful blend of design, creativity, and care, we’ve crafted a space where laughter and exploration know no bounds—making it a place where communities come together, and every child can experience the magic of play.

Doornbos Inclusive Park features a custom steel playground with ramps and an accessible rockin’ glide that lets kids of all abilities play side by side. We also incorporated sensory and physical play elements like the roller table, inclusive swings, and inclusive merry-go-round, making sure every child can get in on the fun. The bright, custom-themed rubber surfacing ensures easy access throughout, while the butterfly panel toppers and flower shades add a touch of whimsy that ties into the park’s nature-inspired theme. Since opening in November 2023, Doornbos Inclusive Park has become a go-to spot for families in Nederland, TX. The blend of accessibility and playfulness makes it a space where kids can explore, learn, and grow, all while having a blast. We’re proud to have been a part of this project, and we hope it continues to bring joy and laughter to families for years to come.
