Wallaroo Park

Opened: Fall 2018

Wallaroo Park

Kraftsman worked in collaboration with Talley Landscape Architects and Johnson Development to design and install a dynamic, innovative playground that blends physical play with STEM-based learning elements. The project features a variety of engaging play items, including the Lappset SONA Arch, a roller slide that descends a fun hill, a swing set, musical play elements, and a life-like wallaroo and egg climber, all designed to encourage active play and creativity.

The SONA Arch is a standout feature, providing an interactive and stimulating play experience. This unique piece has a multitude of game options that combines movement and sound, where children can test their math skills, memory retention, or use their bodies to create rhythm and melody, promoting both physical activity and sensory development. The roller slide, set into a hill, offers a thrilling ride, while the wallaroo and egg climber allow children to explore and challenge their climbing skills in a fun and imaginative way.

For safety, poured-in-place rubber surfacing was added at the bottom of the slide, ensuring a soft landing for children while they enjoy the play equipment.
